Erik De Nijs - The Future of Fashion??

So I found this on the net, and i think its cool. Its actually well over a year old, but who cares?

Last year a 22 year old Dutch design student named Erik De Nijs came up with an idea combining two completely different products into one inspirational concept. He simply took a pair of his favorite jeans and stitched a keyboard onto the lap, along with several other connections to make it somewhat useful. According to different sites, its "too geeky", "ridiculous", and just plain useless. But i personally wouldn't mind keeping a pair of my own[Wired]

I mean of course you couldn't just wear em out on the town all the time, but the principle of it all is that his simple thinking could lead to great things for other people. There's already usb connections, speakers, and a joystick/mouse pocket readily attached. Think about the technicians who have to carry around lots of equipment while performing field maintenance for god-knows-what. Cable guys, telephone techs, aircraft mechanics, etc. Think Big, people.

Miss DJ Gemz - 'There's no Place Like Home'

Ahh, so the future of music brings with it an army of support...

There are heroes on the front who, with all their might, bring an innovative approach to the chaos that has become of the rift in Mainstream entertainment.

And behind these brave few, are the researchers, the historians, the scientists, the smiths, the directors, the --im getting too carried away with this analogy, lemme get straight to it already lol,

--the producers, the beatmakers, the poets, the coaches, and most importantly, the inspiration.

Miss DJ Gemz Presents 'There's No Place Like Home' the Mixtape; a showcase of local talent from the 'DMV'--the tri-state region encompassing the greater DC-Meto Area of DC, MD, and VA, respectively.

This well-organized tracklisting of 21 independent projects with some major, features a variety of rhythmic illustrations of the culture associated with living in the region. With its impressively simple beats and appropriately raw lyricism to a positive flavor the collection is a wonderful medley of hidden treasures long-overlooked in the DMV, to which this tribute rightfully promotes. My personal favs are P.O.V ft. Cayan, Lyriciss -Empress, and Marky's energetic flow... enjoy!

Indeed, Sista. Check out Miss DJ Gemz, poet, DJ, artist, producer.

Nom NOm Nom Nom

I love junkfood!

This came across my view as i finally found the time to sit and scour the internet again for useless info to feed you all. all three of you. [foolishgadgets]

Apparently its a case for the iPod shuffle, but it looks so damn tempting to chew on... I don't even own an iPod...

Now this however, is edible. Its not really a keyboard. Someone crafted a lifesize keyboard out of two sheets of graham cracker, a bunch of lil marshmellows, and carved chocolate chunk details.

Now I'm a huge fan of toast, but then thats why this is a bit of a disappointment to me. Its an inflatable little object modeled after a piece of buttery goodness. And what does it do? I still don't know. i think its just a cushion...

Sometimes i wonder about the creative genius behind useless trinkets like these :)

Weekly Remedy - Mash-Up

Happy Memorial Day, folks.

A good pal of mine led me to find this short project on youtube which i found quite amusing. the posting author labeled it as a project for class that she needed to put together in a hurry.

Nice work, i must say. Impressive audio/video sync-ing here. Check it out!

Haha. Disney...

Wake The F*@$ Up, Folks!

Its been quite some time...

But we've been busy is all. I just hope you all enjoy what we've been cooking here at Solar Empire in sunny... ! I almost spilled the beans. I can't just tell you where we live...

But anyways, even with work and our hectic daily lives stacked into the equation, the projects are coming along rather smoothly, and i must say. Just wait...

Mission 006 // Open Mic @ Cash's

The young philosopher is truly at it again.

I did it like only a rookie could at Cash's on Okaloosa Island a couple Tuesdays ago. There were a few spring breakers from out of town, (props to your random decision to wander into this lonely village on the gulf coast;) but wasted it was not as the tourists had borne witness to a beautiful thing in the empty venue lol. I still got up there and spit it harder than a shouting gym coach on a friday afternoon.

Awww, man. You're all too kind. Thanks so much. I love this. This, being you.
