The Establishment

I have this need to establish myself before I take my music any further than where I reside at this point of progression.

Just a few nights ago I was reminiscing over this metal show that I've gone to.  And during a performance one of these bands had played some hip hop track.  It was almost instantaneous at that moment.  A sudden trigger that was pulled and the crowed took a negative approach.   They booed and booed telling them to "shut if off!" and "get off stage!"  They stayed on stage and still threw down harder than any of the other bands that performed that night.  But for as much time and labor that this band has devoted.  The crowed doesn't see what goes behind the scenes.  Most of us producers know just how much work goes into a track itself. It's a living soul that breaths within it's own melodies.   Notes are hitt'n to hard or soft...adjust the velocity a bit; Thresh/Attack is too little or too much;  Compression; EQ...the bass needs to be within this freq to sound more deeper;  Reverb sounds to wet; Chorus; Flanger; Phaser; Delay; Distortion at this gain;  etc....  The list goes on and on.  And as funny as it may be.  These effects/tools that technology has to offer can be fed through something as simple as a hi hat.  We all have our secrets and blue print schemes that seperate us apart as an individual.  It's what defines and drives the curious intellects to keep music fresh in every form possible.  So the next time when an artist wants to present his music keep in mind what these people have done just to get up on stage in front you and perform.  It's easy to look up at the stage and boo all you want.  And then you get the "followers" doing the same thing.  The bookie scheduled me brudda.  Don't know what else to say besides take it outside and wait for the next band to make it's next appearance, but I gotta message to get out.   Lol...don't ever disrespect mom's cupcakes.  She slaved hard over them delectable delights.  Enjoy and be open minded.
